Dennis Fotinos is the President and CEO of Enwave Energy Corporation where he is responsible for the strategic direction and daily oversight of the company’s overall operations, including sales, business development and major construction projects.
Prior to joining Enwave, Dennis was a Metro and City Councillor from 1991 to 1999. Over his three terms of office, Dennis played a leading role in establishing Toronto’s first Public-Private Partnership, chaired numerous Standing Committees and served on the Executive and Policy and Finance Committees of Council.
Known as a results-oriented executive with proven turnaround management credentials, Dennis initiated and led the corporate reorganization that created Enwave and repositioned it in the energy industry as a viable environmentally friendly energy company with a focus on sustainability.
Dennis has served on the Boards of the Greater Toronto Services Board, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and the 2008 Olympic Bid Committee. He has also been a director of the International District Energy Association and Canadian District Energy Association, as well as serving on the Boards of Harbourfront Centre, Ontario Lung Association, Tourism Toronto and Exhibition Place among others.
Dennis holds MBA degrees from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Toronto.
