As we work with a number of stakeholders to create a comprehensive plan for development of the Downsview lands, we will be looking for the best and most appropriate way to balance a mix of uses including residential, office and retail opportunities.

As part of responsible planning, focus will be placed on streets to ensure movement and connectivity; road design that balances functional requirements; built form and landscape design that help to create gateways to the community; design that is compatible with the surrounding development; quality open space, providing protection and relief from natural elements in a way that defines and supports the structure of the community; and good-quality building design that will be positively welcomed into the community.
